2月16日，父亲去世将整整三年了。时间过得真快！中国大陆，我诉首都机场海关非法扣留《李锐口述往事》一书的案子悬在那里；美国这边，斯坦福大学和我应诉张玉珍关于李锐资料归属权案的反诉因为疫情，审理进程一拖再拖。祭日将至，我无以告慰父亲在天之灵。
进入2022年，拜登政府将一批又一批的非法移民在夜幕中偷偷送往美国各地的视频被曝光；1月29日大雪纷飞的纽约市，一望无际的黑色——来自全国各地的警察，寂静无声地站满了一条又一条街区，向他们只有22岁的同伴杰森·里维拉告别；乌克兰和俄国边境的战事似乎一触即发，拜登总统同乌克兰总统的通话内容被美国这边封得紧紧的，乌克兰那边传出的是，泽连斯基总统告诉拜登：“降降声儿，你的言论在制造恐慌。”（NBC News: Zelensky told Biden to tone down his predictions as they were creating panic, a Ukrainian official told CNN）。塔克·卡尔森在他主持的福克斯晚间节目中坚定地反对美国向乌克兰出兵，以为将自己国家的边境向非法移民敞开的同时去保卫乌克兰的边境，实在是匪夷所思。却被主流媒体众口一词地骂成俄罗斯间谍。
父亲生前极力推崇过“全球化”，他的挚友李慎之先生亦然。父亲在1995年4月10日的日记中，记录下参加社科院近代史所“五四与中国文化”的座谈会上慎之先生的一段发言：“布什提到要向亚洲学习，美国放弃了个人责任，英国工党则搞道德社会主义。道德滑坡，中国当前可谓世界第一。”他还在2001年3月25日日记中记下自己在河南一个学术座谈会上的一句发言：“西方遵从马克思指示，资义在变化，到信息时代。”点出了他们心底以为随着经济的全球化，应该出现的文化全球化和政治全球化是马克思主义的全球化。当然，正如蔡霞教授指出的，他们这些人认为真正的马克思主义者追求的是自由人的联合体。
李慎之先生的过人之处在于，他对“全球化”发展的前景做了尙无法确定的阐述，他以为在极权国家，经济全球化能否成为政治改革的动力，说到底掌握在当权者的手里。又说：“生活确实要比理论丰富得多，人类的认识过程因此也永远没有终结的结果。”
父亲去世之前，为了保持思维和手指的灵活，天天在病榻上反复书写下的是：
人生在世，任何人都要受这四种限制：
时代、知识
思想能力
个人品德
（马恩列斯毛也不例外）
后人是应该站在前人的肩膀向上攀登的，因而认知更为开阔、更加深刻，因为我们还在生活，生活在前人已离去的世界。
即以下面的话祭奠父亲吧：
爸爸，你和你的朋友们曾经热烈拥护的“全球化”，你们以为“经济的全球化”必然会推动中国政治体制的改革，将中国推入普世价值的不归路的憧憬，已经被丰富的生活击碎了。“全球化”带给了中国人民深重而难以逆转的伤害——河流和土壤的污染，即使立即停止污染物的排放，自然净化也至少需要数百年，上千代人的历程。“全球化”让本来应该引领世界风气之先的美国，成了中国共产党的追随者。拜登政府上台以后发布的一系列总统令，在国会已经通过的，和正在施展浑身解数欲强行通过的大撒币法案，把由政府，其实就是由一个党掌控国家发展方向的中国模式在美国变成了实施的法律。实践证明老布什总统曾经赞誉的“中国当前可谓世界第一”，你20年前看到的：“西方遵从马克思指示，资义在变化……”是说准了。现实就是如此的残酷：“东风”正在无情地压倒“西风”。如今，每个美国公民的钱袋子，每个美国企业的钱袋子，都被捏在权力越涨越大的政府的手中，它想从里面掏多少就掏多少，没商量！“私人财产不容侵犯”的概念正在美国逐步消亡，马克思主义的精髓“私有制终将被消灭”，正在被美国的年轻一代接受。
爸爸，我会为保护你留给这个世界的珍贵史料，把中国和美国的两场官司一直打到底。与此同时，我还会用我的声音，用我的笔，让人们认清中共正在世界肆虐的邪恶。人们呵，绝不能让中国共产党以它的意识形态实现全球一体化的野心得逞啊！

Follow-up report on “Li Nanyang sued the Customs” (91)
On third anniversary of the death of my father
February 16, it will be exactly three years since my father died. Time flies! In mainland China, my case against the Capital Airport Customs for illegally detaining the book “Li Rui Oral History” is hanging; on the US side, due to the pandemic, the trial that Zhang Yuzhen counterclaims Stanford University and me pertaining the litigation about the ownership of Li Rui Material is continuous. Sadly to say, I have nothing to comfort my father’s spirit in heaven on the anniversary.
Entering 2022, the videos of the Biden administration secretly sending illegal immigrants to various parts of the United States in the dark were exposed; on January 29, in the snow-swept New York City, the endless black-police officers from all over the country, silently filled block after block, saying goodbye to their 22-year-old colleague, Jason Rivera; the war on the border between Ukraine and Russia seems to be imminent, and the content of the call between President Biden and the Ukrainian President has been sealed, while was revealed by Ukraine side (NBC News: Zelensky told Biden to tone down his predictions as they were creating panic, a Ukrainian official told CNN). Tucker Carlson, on his Fox News show, staunchly opposed the U.S. sending troops to Ukraine, saying it would be incredible to defend Ukraine’s border while opening our own border to illegal immigrants. But he was scolded by the mainstream media as a Russian spy.
My father strongly advocated “globalization” during his lifetime, as did his closest friend Mr. Li Shenzhi. In his diary on April 10, 1995, he recorded a speech by Mr. Shenzhi at the symposium “May Fourth Movement and Chinese Culture” at the Institute of Modern History, Academy of Social Sciences: “Bush (senior Bush, former president) mentioned that he would learn from Asia, as the United States is giving up personal responsibility, the British Labor Party engages in moral socialism. Moral is declining (worldwide), China is the number one in the world at present.” He also recorded in his diary on March 25, 2001 a sentence he spoke at an academic symposium in Henan: “Western is following the instructions of Marx, capitalism is changing, and it is the information age.” Those talks revealed the thought in their hearts, with the globalization of the economy, the cultural globalization and political globalization that should appear is the globalization of Marxism. But, of course, as Professor Cai Xia once said, what they believed is the real Marxism that pursues a free world union of free individual. Mr. Li Shenzhi was extraordinary, he did not firmly prospect for the development of “globalization”. He said that in a totalitarian country, after all, whether economic globalization can become the driving force for political reform depends on those in power. He also said: “Livelihood is indeed much richer than any theory, and the process of human cognition will never end.”
Before my father passed away, in order to keep keen of his mind and fingers, he wrote repeatedly on the sickbed every day: “In life, everyone is subject to four limitations: era, knowledge, thinking ability, and personal morality (Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin & Mao are no exception).”
Children should stand on their parents’ shoulders and climb up, therefore the view could be wider and farer, especially we are still living in a world where our predecessors have left. I will take words below to pay memory to my father:
Dad, the “globalization” that you and your friends once ardently embraced, you believed that “economic globalization” will inevitably promote the reform of China’s political system and push China into a point of no return for universal values, but it has been shattered by the practice. “Globalization” has brought heavy and irreversible harm to the Chinese people – the pollution of rivers and soils. Even if the discharge of pollutants is stopped immediately, natural purification will take at least hundreds of years and thousands of generations. “Globalization” has made the United States, which was supposed to lead the world, become a follower of the Chinese Communist Party. The series of presidential executive orders issued by the Biden administration after taking office, the big money-spending bills that have been passed in Congress, and more bills that are being forcefully passed, put the Chinese model – the government, i.e. one party controlling the direction of the country’s development, become enacted law of the United States. The life happening in people’s eyes has proved that President Bush once praised “China is the number one in the world at present.” and thought of yours 20 years ago: ” Western is following the instructions of Marx, capitalism is changing…” are exactly accurate. The reality is so cruel: “East Wind” is ruthlessly overwhelming the “West Wind”. Today, every American’s wallet, every American company’s money bag, is in the hand of the increasingly powerful government. It can take as much as it wants, and there is no negotiation! The concept of “inviolability of private property” is gradually dying out in the United States, and the essence of Marxism “eliminating of private property eventually” is being accepted by the younger generation in the United States.
Dad, I will continue my fight of two lawsuits of protecting the historical materials you left to the world, meanwhile I will use my voice and my pen to let people recognize the evil of the CCP, which is wreaking havoc; to understand the ultimate goal of the CCP, and prevent its ambition of integrating the world by its ideology.
