Gu Feng: Never underestimate Xi Jinping’s shamelessness
Xu Zhangrun, a professor at Tsinghua University, once commented on Xi Jinping’s “personal command” of epidemic prevention and said: “I have different hearts, and I am shameless!” This sentence undoubtedly expresses the aspirations of the vast majority of the Chinese people. However, although everyone knows that Xi Jinping is shameless, they don’t know how shameless he is. This article will cite some examples to see how he was at odds with each other.
1. Crying that democracy is in the hands of centralization
In December 2013, Xi Jinping publicly expounded his governing philosophy, the so-called core socialist values: prosperity, democracy, civilization, harmony, freedom, equality, justice, rule of law, patriotism, dedication, integrity, and friendliness. To this end, the Office also issued the “Opinions on Cultivating and Practicing Socialist Core Values”. To promote Xi Jinping’s governing philosophy, the 24-character slogans are everywhere in China’s villages and cities. Therefore, many Chinese people who advocate democracy and the rule of law are full of expectations for Xi Jinping who just took office.
However, everything Xi Jinping did when he took office revolved around his personal centralization as emperor for life. Such as: centralizing power by anti-corruption; centralizing power by institutional reform;
Among the 46 institutional reform plans proposed by Xi Jinping, there are 20 central institutional reforms, 3 institutional reforms of the National People’s Congress, and 23 institutional reforms of the State Council. The core of these institutional reforms is to concentrate all the power that originally belonged to the National People’s Congress, the State Council and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to Xi Jinping himself. For example, 46 committees or leading groups, such as the Central Leading Group for Comprehensively Deepening Reform, the Central Leading Group for Cybersecurity and Informatization, the Central Leading Group for Finance and Economics, the Central Leading Group for Foreign Affairs, and the Central Leading Group for Comprehensively Governing the Country by Law, etc. The person in charge has become Xi Jinping himself. Therefore, he was called the “Almighty Chairman” and “Five Chairman” by foreign media.
As domestic and foreign public opinion is extremely dissatisfied with Xi Jinping’s dictatorship and autocratic behavior, Xi Jinping has put forward a so-called “whole process democracy” in an attempt to confuse the concept of democracy. On October 13, 2021, Xi Jinping said at the work conference of the Central People’s Congress: “The whole process of people’s democracy in our country has realized the unity of process democracy and outcome democracy, procedural democracy and substantive democracy, direct democracy and indirect democracy, people’s democracy and national will. It is a democracy of the whole chain, all-round and full coverage, and it is the most extensive, real and effective socialist democracy.” Unfortunately, his remarks can only deceive himself, and for the public, it is only a joke.
In order to achieve the goal of ruling for life, Xi Jinping used the power in his hands to forcefully amend the constitution and abolish the presidential term system. On February 26, 2018, the presidential term system that had been implemented in China for 36 years was actually cancelled by Xi Jinping. This is clearly a shameless act of robbery. Mr. Ren Zhiqiang once commented on Xi Jinping’s constitutional revision: “The emperor can deceive himself that he is wearing clothes, but even children know that the emperor is naked, and those who dare not say that the emperor is not wearing clothes know what clothes are. New clothes, what is no clothes. Ceausescu didn’t know that the ship had turned around when he thought that the people would still believe his lies and deceit!”
2. While scolding foreigners for being nosy, they also want to be world hegemons
In 2009, when Xi Jinping gave an instruction to the local Chinese in Mexico, he said: “Some foreigners who have nothing to do when they have enough to eat, always point fingers at us. China does not export revolution, does not export hunger and poverty, and does not make trouble. They have nothing to say.”
In response to Xi Jinping’s speech, in October 2016, Sheng Xue, the global chairman of the Democratic China Front, said in an interview with reporters: “Xi Jinping’s deadly, ruthless, ruthless, and stupid character will accelerate the demise of the CCP regime, and he may also will become the terminator of the CCP regime.”
Just three years after Xi Jinping scolded foreigners for being meddlesome, he actually became the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee. At this time, his statement changed again. In November 2012, when Xi Jinping met with foreigners for the first time after taking office as General Secretary, he said: the international community is increasingly becoming a “community of destiny” in which you have me and I have you. In the face of the complex situation of the world economy and global problems, any No country can survive on its own.
On September 21, 2019, Xi Jinping attended the summit commemorating the 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. At the meeting, with the theme of “building a community with a shared future for mankind”, he said a lot of empty words, clichés and nonsense according to the script, but it was blown by Zhang Jun, the permanent representative of China to the United Nations: “President Xi is standing at a historical height, for the future of the world. The future points the way and demonstrates the strategic vision and broad-mindedness of leaders of great powers and world-class leaders.”
For this “leader of a major country and a world-class leader” show, Xi Jinping found a “trustee” two months before he went to the United Nations. This “trustee” was Zhang Jun, the former assistant minister of foreign affairs. It can be seen from Zhang Jun’s public resume that on July 17, 2019, he was still the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; on July 30, 2019, Zhang Jun took the position of China’s new permanent representative to the United Nations and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the United Nations in New York. Headquarters presented its credentials to UN Secretary-General Guterres. It can be seen that Xi Jinping has long planned for the title of “leader of a major country and world-class leader”.
Xi Jinping said: First, don’t export revolution, second, don’t export hunger and poverty, and third, don’t toss them. But after he became general secretary, he built 8 overseas military bases in one breath, and came up with a half-way “One Belt, One Road” project, leaving a large unfinished project in more than 60 countries, he not only spent it all. China’s foreign exchange, but also led to the debt of many countries. For fear of international reprimand, he has been afraid to go abroad for nearly three years. Like this duplicitous and irresponsible dictatorship, he almost refreshed his shameless downline.
3. While saying that he is against lifelong system, he refuses to get off the bus when he arrives at the station
On April 19, 2018, the British “Financial Times” reported that when meeting foreign guests, Xi Jinping said: “I am personally opposed to lifelong rule. It is a misunderstanding by the outside world that my country should amend the constitution to abolish the term limit of the president. The purpose is to unify the term of office of the three senior positions of the party, government and army.” However, there is no term limit for the general secretary of the Communist Party of China and the chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Communist Party of China. At that time, domestic and foreign media really thought that Xi Jinping would not seek lifelong rule.
According to Xi Jinping, he should abdicate this year. But Xi Jinping’s various behaviors show that Xi Jinping is not only unwilling to abdicate when the expiration date, but also that he will forcibly be re-elected. According to the insiders of the Communist Party of China who broke the news overseas, because of Xi Jinping’s perverse behavior, the party is very dissatisfied with him. On May 2, the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China held an enlarged meeting. Participants included all members of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee, former members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China and representatives of the second generation of the Communist Party of China. At the meeting, they made comments on Xi Jinping’s departure and stay. A 16-word resolution was made: hand over power in advance, get off at the station, smooth over, and not pursue responsibility. However, Xi Jinping believed that this resolution undermined his re-election plan, and after the meeting, he began to “give up” the CCP veterans.
In order to block the mouth of the CCP elders, Xi Jinping sacrificed the big hat of “discussing the Party Central Committee”. On May 15, the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued the “Opinions on Strengthening the Party Building of Retired Cadres in the New Era”. The Central Office requires retired cadres and party members to strictly abide by discipline and rules; not to arbitrarily discuss the major policies of the Party Central Committee; not to spread politically negative remarks; to maintain a high degree of consistency with the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core in ideology, politics and actions.
The so-called rash comments on the central government in the document are actually comments on Xi Jinping’s fault. Under Xi Jinping’s rule, “arrogantly talking about the Party Central Committee” was a serious crime, and a large number of senior CCP officials were dismissed and imprisoned for “recklessly talking about the Party Central Committee”. Sun Zhengcai, Sun Lijun, Wang Sanyun and Fu Zhenghua are the best examples.
The “crime of falsely discussing the central government” may work for other officials, but it does not work for the CCP elders. As we all know, the source of Xi Jinping’s power is neither popular elections nor intra-party elections. His power was originally given by the CCP elders. Now, when he arrives at the station, he not only refuses to get off the bus, but in turn denounces the opinions of those who once authorized it as a false statement about the central government.
Since the elders of the CCP don’t like Xi Jinping’s trick, Xi Jinping has resorted to the army to threaten the opposition within the party. On June 14, 2022, Xi Jinping, in the honor of the chairman of the Central Military Commission, signed and issued an order “The Outline of Military Non-War Military Actions (Trial)”, which will be implemented from June 15, 2022.
Xi Jinping issued such an order at such a sensitive time with the aim of securing re-election. Because he knows that at the meeting, his re-election plan has been completely shattered, and his only way at present is to use the military power in his hand to threaten those CCP veterans who oppose his re-election. It is certain that if the elders of the CCP continue to prevent him from being re-elected, he will definitely kill him. Of course, there is also the possibility of a civil war, as many of the military’s top generals also oppose Xi’s re-election.
While threatening the CCP elders with military power, Xi Jinping also used the party media to attack and smear the proxies launched by the CCP elders. At the enlarged meeting of the Politburo on May 2, the elders of the CCP collectively elected the current Premier Li Keqiang to succeed Xi Jinping as the general secretary of the CCP Central Committee.
Under Xi Jinping’s instigation, the media under the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection issued two articles in a week to criticize Li Keqiang. On June 1, “China Journal of Discipline Inspection and Supervision” criticized the two prime ministers, Li Si and Li Linfu, under the title of “Abandoning Exquisite Egoism”. The article criticized the two prime ministers surnamed Li for being greedy and greedy for power. They were also good at disguising, performing and using the system to achieve their own goals. On June 7, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection’s monitoring website again praised the two prime ministers, Xiao He and Li Ran, under the title “Knowledge in the Face of Desires”, and criticized the cabinet’s chief assistant Yan Song and the cabinet’s chief academician He Shen.
Obviously, this is Xi Jinping using the ancients to metaphorize the present, pointing to the Sang and scolding the Huai Huai. It means to warn Li Keqiang not to always think about being the general secretary, and as the prime minister, not to imitate Li Si and Li Linfu, but to be as loyal to the emperor as the two prime ministers, Xiao He and Li Ran. Another layer of meaning is that if you, Li Keqiang, don’t know physiognomy, you will never end well.
As we all know, if you want to publish such a highly sensitive article in China, who would have the guts to criticize Li Keqiang without Xi Jinping’s instructions?
It can be seen from the above cases that Xi Jinping is doing everything he can to ensure his re-election. What he once said against life-long rule is nothing more than a blindfold.
4. Don’t underestimate Xi Jinping’s shamelessness
As Mr. Xu Zhangrun said in his article: “Enough, this moldy god-building movement, superficial leader worship; enough, this shameless singing and dancing, filthy fresh and shameless; The sky is full of lies, endless suffering; enough, this bloodthirsty red dynasty politics, the insatiable party-state system’; enough, these seven years (now 10 years) of absurdity, step-by-step perversion; enough, enough, These 70 years of corpses and blood, a red tyranny that is rare in ancient times.” It can be seen what Xi Jinping is in the eyes of Chinese enlightened scholars.
At the moment, the CCP is on the eve of the election, and the anti-Xi faction is determined to prevent Xi Jinping from being re-elected; and Xi Jinping is determined to be re-elected. Under such circumstances, if the two sides continue to stalemate, Xi Jinping will inevitably attack the anti-Xi factions. If anti-Xi factions underestimate Xi Jinping’s shamelessness, the consequences will be disastrous.
